Design Process
This project explores the creation of a fictional music festival, “END OF THE WORLD PARTY” aka “EOTWP”, inspired by large-scale events like Coachella or Camp Flog Gnaw. The concept merges Y2K visual culture with the era’s apocalyptic anxiety surrounding the year 2000, using design to imagine a festival built around the idea of “the end” as the year comes to a close.
The process began with developing a Y2K-inspired flyer, incorporating cyberpunk styles, pixel typography, and saturated gradients. Visual elements such as loading messages, countdown motifs, and computer graphics were used to reference both early digital aesthetics and fears of technological collapse. The layout was designed to feel chaotic yet intentional, mimicking the overload of turn-of-the-millennium media.
An artist lineup was then created to reinforce the identity of the event, balancing realism with concept. From there, the project expanded into a full event rollout. Ticket designs were developed with barcode visuals, while merchandise translated the main graphic into wearable sweatshirts. By extending the flyer into tickets and merch, the project builds a cohesive visual system, presenting “EOTWP” as a believable, immersive festival experience.
